I love Valentine's day. I love dressing my children for Valentine's day. I love all the little cards they come home with. Today A wore a super cute navy dress with purple hearts and G wore a pink shirt with white stripes. Yes, he did. It is/was Valentine's day. It was kind of funny to see him wearing a cupcake apron with a large white bow at the top though. My mom bought A and I matching cupcake aprons for Christmas and G likes to wear it too because it matches the one I wear. So.....yes, pink shirt and cupcake apron.
A is always more than willing to pose for pictures or at least not react in an angry way (as G sometimes does) when I take her picture. In this picture below she had her arms spread :: "Mommy, I love you this much."
"How much?" "This much. See my arms. This much."
I am loving the sun in this picture below. The kids both brought home a variety of pencils as part of the Valentine's day loot. G loves to sharpen pencils. I think that he likes it so much as it is sort of like a mini garbage can and he is ALL. ABOUT. GARBAGE. So he went to work on sharpening the pencils. Before I knew it he had showed some flower petals in the sharper, as well as, parts of the erasers. Ahhhhhh, boys.
A decided she had some writing to do today. She was writing things that I need to ask "my kids" at school. She and I both came up with "sentences" she should write. Among my favorite sentneces were : "Do you like firetrucks?" "Do you like magazines?" I replied, "Oh, that's a good one." A: "I thought you would like that one mommy."
A: "My teacher said I have to write all this down."
A: "Gosh, I don't have much room left."
Don't worry I saved all three pages of sentences that she wrote. G moved onto the camera. I love all these great images of him working wth the camera.
P.S. Spring is on the way. We can see some small patches of grass and I just saw someone ride by on a bike. For reals. A bike.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE these pics. And I especially love both of their Valentine outfits. "Real men real pink". Looks like they are both following in their parents footsteps. One future teacher and one future photographer.
ReplyDeletePS: Like the pics of my pizza. Don't like my picture so much.
