My friend, Linda, recentlly celebrated her son's 16th birthday with a family party and invited us to join them. Super fun afternoon. Yummy food as expected from these Pisanos. L even made sure she had some GF pasta for A and a special GF desert since she knew that A wouldn't be able to eat the birthday boy's cake. Very very thoughtful of L.....thanks pal. The afternoon was spent playing a tradition game.....Flick the Shoe. The B's have been playing flick the shoe for years. I never did completely understand the scoring but in pairs two people took turns flicking their shoes while swinging. Let me tell you, these people take their shoe flicking seriously.....the tape measure made an appearance and the game was like nine innings long. Everyone played....well, I didn't play....I was in a dress....if only I had know. Husband played, not very well though.....but he was a newbie. This crew has been playing for years and has prefected their skills. My family needs to start playing flick the shoe. It't the best. And so is the B family. Thanks for including us.

A loved loved loved playing with this cute blond, M, a former student of mine. I taught her in Kindergarten, she's going into 3rd. Darling.
Below is my pal, L and the birthday boy.
The cake decorated by my pal. She should go into business...don't cha think?
Details included the cubs markee, a photo of the birthday boy's house, the HS markee, the street sign at the intersection of the home, a local barn with dairy cows, the Sears tower (or whatever the new name is....I can never remember) and N (birthday boy) in his new car.
The Shoe Flicking Trophey.
And I couldn't resist this cutie and her hair bow. Little girls in hair bows are unresistable.

These are great. Thanks for sharing. I am so happy you guys came and had fun. See you on Sunday for another fun day.
