Pet Show
Last week A's class hosted a pet show. The classroom theme over the past few weeks has been all about pets. Each family was asked to send in a stuffed pet that could perform a special trick. A choose her stuffed pug named Norton. His special trick is that he is able to make pancakes and bacon. Norton spent a few weeks at school with A along with his "supplies" which included a frying pan, bacon, a pancake with a pat of butter and a spatula.....all of which were just pretend.....in case that was unclear. So Norton became part of A's class and then this past Thursday they (the class) hosted a pet show and invited their families. It was so much fun. Each child entered the classroom one by one pulling their pet in the wagon (decorated shoe box) they made. With the help of the teacher each child took turns introducing his/her pet and showing the special trick that the pet can do. It was great! Of course once at home G wanted to share A's wagon as he didn't have one since he and A are in different classes. There was no way that A was going to share her special wagon so we quick made G a wagon of his own and he placed his monkey in it. Now.....before you move on to the pictures I want to make sure you notice A's demeanor in each of the photos. Where is the smile? Apparently, she had on her regular school face.
