onni and Hoppa hosted Easter this year...we lucked out with happy weather so fishing was a go. I love mixing Easter dresses and worms. Cousin J showed A & G how to hook a worm and cast. This was our first GF family party and it wasn't so hard. Anut E. brought gluten free chips plus guac. Nonni made lamb (which G loved) and ham plus many more yummies. We brought a rice salad which worked with A's diet....she mostly just ate jello though. Aunt N. made gluten free chocolate chip cookies. We really appreciate our family being considerate of our new dietary issues. Thank you (family) very much for helping make the whole gf thing easier for us. To digress....Husband and I were talking about how cool it is that his family communicates multiple times daily via email. Hoppa sends a morning image to everyone and the comments regarding the image and many tangents follow with numerous reply to alls. Do any other families do this? It's fun. Speaking of N......she really did create the prettiest little girl. All those girl cousins are so pretty.......Cousin C's pretty pretty skin, Cousin N's perfect eyes, Cousin J and her super cute bob, Cousin A's pretty thick hair but man......Cousin E is a knockout. She's stunning and she loves her cousins so much. Both A & G were really shy around E tonight but then later they couldn't stop talking about her.
G: "Cousin E helped me off the bike."
A : "Cousin E helped me in the car. I like E."
G: "Me too."
A: "She's our cousin."
Ohhhh......and Nonni asked all the kids to bring an piece of art to share. I love that. Good idea Nonni. We totally need to continue that tradition. We should find some way to display them throughout our parties. I am so going to require that my kids bring art to show Nonni and Pops every time they see them. I so envision them bringing home art from school and knowing it's going to be a piece to share with Nonni and Hoppa.
