Mother's Day

y fourth mother's day is coming to an end....boo hoo.....slow down (time) won't you?  It is hard to believe that I watched my children scramble for candy after the pinata collapesed today.....my kids are "big kids" now.  I do try and cherish every memory we create with one another.  Yet, I do wish (daily) that time would slow down, really..... if it only moved half as fast I would be fine with that.  However, our days speed by us and I continue to be amazed by the love for my children that keeps growing.  I remember my Uncle B. telling me (in my early twentys) that  the love one has for their child is like no other.  He was right.  I wish that I could put into words how I feel about my children.  The word love just isn't enough to descrbe it.  I love my children so very much and I love being a mom.  I do a better job at mothering than I do at anything else I try to do.  Don't misjudge...I so don't claim to have a handle on this mothering thing...... I am always asking myself: Am I being too tough? Am I being too lenient.  Should I call the Dr.? (that's the toughest one....deciding when to call the dr.) Should I put on a movie ? Can we skip a bath? Do they know enough letters? Do they know too many letters? Is it ok to put nail polish on a 3 year old? Barbies or no barbies?  Disney or no disney?  McDonalds? And on and on......What I do know is that I have a lot of love. A lot of love and happiness.  That's we have over here: a lot of love and happiness.  It pleases me to pieces that today both children told me that they were happy.  After the breaking the pinata with their cousins G told me: "That was a lot of fun.  I'm happy."  While A was very pleased that her daddy painted her nails today.  She told me: "Don't they look pretty.  I'm so happy."  I so love that sharing of happiness.  Now....on to images from our very busy day.

I love this picture of all the cousins pushing each other trying to get to the candy.  Look at G right in the middle of that pile.  That makes me so happy.  He came out of  the candy grab with dirt under his nails and on his face and so very happy.

Look at her cute blue nails.

These tractor pictures are the best of the day.  N and I spied C sitting out there in the yard with those great boots on that cool old tracter.....too perfect.  Greeting card perfect.  Off N and I went to do a bit of set dressing and added a few more children to the tractor which translated into the best pictures of the day.  The one of the birthday girl standing on the tractor is the best.  She was shouting (with some prompting): "It's my birthday."

Happy birthday number five!
This one is turning into my favorite!  So wrong I know I know.  I love all of my nieces and nephews.  They are all so perfect and fun but this one......this one......she has a lot of love.  Plus.....I think I am up there on her list of favorites....so it sorta seems ok that she is at the top of mine.

Happy birthday number one!

Look at him look at his mama! Awwww.

I think that the plate with Nonni's image of Nortie was a hit.

Norton clearly enjoyed this not sure if the baby did.

So where do you think G learned to make this face?

Husband played paparazzi with his parents, M. (aka BaaBaa or Uncle M's mom) and Nonni Nonni (husband's grandma) as they were leaving.  They look like royalty....check out Nonni Nonni in the backseat with her corsage....she is the queen. Look closely for Norton in his cage sitting between the ladies in the back.  I wanted to figure out the combined age of the adults in this car but husband told me that wasn't the point of the images.........rather that he had images of the royal family in mind as he played paparazzi.

O.K.  Now really how sweet are these two pictures?  It was quite challenging for G to get down this hill so he called out to his sister to help.....of course she helped.  I love them.
