Happy Summer.

Despite the rough to summer with pneumonia and ear infections I find myself sinking happily into our warm days together. Yesterday was an excellent average day. Our day started with PT...our new summer schedule includes PT in the am on Thursdays verses our school year time of 5:00 on Fridays. There is a whole different crowd doing PT in our new time slot and G got a lot of attention from all the ladies doing their leg lifts. PT was followed by a quick trip to our local mall for new sneakers for the boy. He wanted to switch out the black laces for orange ones "like the garbage truck."  We also picked up some new swimsuits and sun hats for our summer water adventures.  We spent a little time at the fountain making wishes and throwing pennies.  A wished for dogs and a bathing suit (which we had already purchased) and a waterfall.  G wished for water and shoes (which we had already purchased).  I guess they need a little practice making wishes. 

We spent our afternoon doing some painting.  Let me tell you....painting with the littles is getting so much easier.  So. MUCH. easier.  Not a drop of paint on any clothing, only one dropped paint brush and they washed their hands by themselves when they were done without making a mess in the bathroom or at least one that wasn't easily cleaned by me in 18 seconds.  This was all accomplished with out any reminders from me to be careful.  I paparazzied the kids for a while and then I sat and chatted with them while they painted.  It was lovely.  Lovely.  I love summer. 

G: "It sure is a beautiful day.  A beautiful day for painting."

A: "These are going to look beautiful in our rooms."

I am so looking foward to more crafty projects this summer. 

and Lego play....lots of lots of Lego play....mostly making garbage trucks, incinerators, jails and playgrounds.  A: "anybody want to go to jain."  G: "No."  A:  "Well, if you want to go to jail let me know. "

Oh, I couldn't resist buying these cute sneakers for the girl.  So stinking cute....especailly with dresses. 

I find myself spending more cash on shoes for her than I do for myself.  I just can say no to cute girl shoes.  I do have my eyes on these  rocking boots....I just might make the splurge....I always feel rich in the summer. 

Also loving this new to me blog.  Five (or maybe six) kids and crafty with a bright lovely home.  Perfect.
