P.S. Our camera broke. The shutter decided that it had taken enough pictures. I was so disappointed not to have my camera with me at Nana and Pop's house. I used my mom's point and shoot all weekend....it was weird. Husband and I bought a new one last night it will arrive on Thusday...yipee!!!!!

A Visit to Nana and Pop's House
Husband spent the weekend at Photostock....as in Woodstock but you know.....film cameras and hipsters and older men with beards. So the kids and I headed to Nana and Pop's house. We filled our time with a trip to the farmer's market, the new Cars movie, the zoo, and lots of food. Lots of sugary food. I have learned (this summer) that I need to travel with way more food than I think I need. Not just on road trips but when we are running out to gymnastics or even to swim lessons. My kids exercise and then are famished. I am slightly worried that I am creating this snacking habbit but not so worried that I will stop providing them snacks. I just need to travel with lots of healthy snacks. While we were with Nana and Pops we at the following: cotton candy, milk shakes, popcorn. Recees Pieces, brownies, chocolate milk, chocolate chex and more sugary snacks than I care to list. We did have some healthy-ish foods thown in there but not many. So.......I hearby promise that from this day forward I will carry L.O.T.S. of healthy snacks with me at all times. Also....I refuse to purchase Chocolate chex again. We have very few gluten free cereal choices and all of the Chex (minus the wheat one) are GF. I remember about a year ago we dug into the Chocolate chex and the kids loved it. It was a good snack but it is messy and chocolate.........repeat Chocolate. So I stopped buying it. Then for some reason I picked it up again when we were at the grocery recently. Husband commented, I thought you weren't going to buy that anymore. I reported that I had reconsidered. Well, it was a wrong reconsideration. We are done. We are so watching our sugar consumption. I tend to dislike my children when they are high on sugar. We are turning over a new sugar free-ish leaf.
