Johnny Appleseed

The Johnny Appleseed festival was this weekend.  Perfect fall weather.  Craft fair. Firetrucks.  Pumpkin bouncy thing. Hay rides. Kiddie Ferris wheel.  Giant mouse giving out candy.  We enjoyed ourselves, a lovely way to spend our sunny Saturday.

I was slightly disappointed with the craft fair.  Random crafts.  Lovely crafter.   All of the artist and shoppers were friendly.  They were super kind to the kids but just such random crafts.  Lots of baby doll dresses and dog toys.  Where as the Renegade Craft fair (held in the city a few weeks ago) blew my mind as far as the crafts go.  But man.....the hipsters in the city were too much for me. I think I  am finally "over" the city.   In my dreams, we visit the Johnny Appleseed craft fair next fall and it is filled with all of the crafts from the Renegade fair but will be filled local McHenry Country crafters and shoppers.

P.S. I acknowledge that I have made some sweeping generalizations on the craft fair front.....but remember.....I'm talking in my dreams.
