St. Nick

We celebrated St. Nick's day today.....the actual feast day is on December 6th......but that's not convenient as it is in the middle of the week.....so St. Nick's skipped our house on the 6th and visited last night.  When A and G were placing their shoes outside of their bedroom doors last night A placed her set of blue shoes, one red dress shoe, and one pink sneaker.  I got the kids up this morning and they hustled into our room and climbed into bed with husband.  In order to reach our bedroom they walked right past their shoes and didn't even notice anything......which was actually a good thing as I gave both husband and I time to wake up properly before the shoe extravaganza.   St. Nick left a couple of books for each child and of course some gold coins which the kids refered to as Krugerrands.  Really?  Yes, really.
