Playing with Clay

The following craft is once again inspired by this awesome blogger.  Last weekend we played with clay,  Crayola's air dry clay.  My goal was to make thumbprint hear magnets which I did but kids also enjoyed making some other cool sculptures.  A made a snowman and G made a few hearts and a bird.  We left the clay to dry during the school week. 

We completed the craft today by painted our clay. 

A's snowman lost his arms, but she still painted them.  Hopefully, we'll be able to glue them to the body after the paint dries. 

And, in closing, I thought it noteworthy to point out that I cleaned up this mess today.......
