I just printed the first pictures for Project Life 2012 and A helped me with the "title page".
Those pictures coming soon.
Below are images of pages from both Project Life 2010 and 2011.
Project Life is a Becky Higgins product.
Becky's philosophy "Cultivate a good life and record it."
Yes, please. I love this approach to "scrapbooking": photos plus journaling to tell our family's story.
The page protectors that come with the kit allow for 7 pictures plus journaling over the course of one week times 52 weeks. This lends itself to a photo a day, however, I tend to take the weekly approach. If I have two photos that I want to include from a specific day, I include them.
Plus, I add lots of extras like cards and art.
The opening page from 2010.
Doesn't G look so young?
A week in February 2010. I added some of A's art.
And some of G's art.
Some more random art (the purple heart). I am seeing a photo of Pops. We have tons of pictures just like this: Pops sitting on that leather chair reading to G and A. I think I get one like that every time he is here. A vistit from Nana and Pops always results in a night out for husband and me. Which means that picture of husband and I was probably taken on our way out the door for dinner. The journaling tells the details. Thanks Mom and Dad for babysitting in February 2010.
This is an example of a "light" week : seven photos plus journaling during the summer of 2010. I'm seeing another photo of Nana and Pops which means that photo of me, on the bottom right, was taken when husband and I were out on a "date". Thanks again Mom and Dad.
Opening page for 2011. For some reason I didn't include the year here. That wasn't smart. The year is on the spine of the book.
As I gained more experience with Project Life I started putting pictures into the 4 by 3 spots.
A in her tap shoes and me with L.
And Mr. Pazoo was behind the dinosaur plus I included the invitation to Mr. Pazoo's birthday, in addition to some more images. Pazoo is a puppet that leads the language group at A's school.
I added so many "extras" in 2011 that I needed two books for the year. So this is the opening page of 2011 book 2.
And a spread from the second half of 2011. A summer week, the week G had his tonsils taken out.
I have no problems putting a vertical picture in a horizantal slot if I need the room.
I started adding 5X7's as I did with A and her most beautiful dress gifted by Nonni. That pink dress is one of my all time favorites.
You can see I added another 5x7 picture of A in that pretty dress. I also included G's hospital braclet and a "Get Well" card.
