I borrowed The G Free Diet : A Gluten-Free Survival Guide by Elizabeth Hasselbeck from the library and skimmed my way through it last night. Yes, she's the young blond Republican on The View and she has Celiac Disease. The book was quite resourceful and a bit celebrityish as it included a chapter title: G- Free and Slim as Can Be. She did tip me off to gluten free (GF) chicken nuggets (yeah - toddle staple) and offers lots of suggestions about going GF and even covers GF beauty. What? I know. Apparently, one with Celiac Disease not only has to worry about what they put into their body but what they put on their body ~ soap, shampoo, lip gloss/stick, sunscreen etc. And medicines too. Yup, over the counter meds and antibiotics. Really? Yup, at least according to Elizabeth. The list of questions I have for our Dr. today is now significantly longer.

~ This cover couldn't be more annoying. ~
