What I'm Reading


It looks like A may have a gluten intolerance know as celiac disease. Those afflicted with celiac disease cannot digest gluten, a protein in wheat, barley, rye, and related grains. A recent blood test indicated that her gluten level was at a 48, while a normal level is 5. We continue to undergo testing and I have started to do a little reading about the subject. I recently finished reading gluten-free girl. It was a great first read about the disease and perfect for a wanna-be foodie. The author, Ahern, makes living gluten free sounds simple and delicious, which is exactly what I need to be reading and thinking right now.
