Six-thirty

Cold.  I was cold yesterday.  Super cold. Freezing. All day.  Goose Bumps.   I climbed under a blanket the minute I got home from work.  The kids and I read on the couch until Husband returned home from work.  I  took a hot shower.  A long hot shower.  I felt better.  Sort of.  I then joined my eating family but didn't make it through dinner.  I went to bed.  At six-thirty.  Ahhhh.  Bed.  Sleep at six-thirthy.  Pajamas, heating pad, lights out, eyes closed.  Up now, early, sort of early, 5:30.  Early enough to blog before having to get dressed.  I feel mostly rested but overwhelemed with what didn't get done last night that was on my (in my head) to do list.  I think I am still catching up with all the stuff that didn't get done when the kids were sick.  I am always catching up. I remember posting here about yoga at 4:45 in the morning and getting less sleep...then I go to bed at 6:30.  But yoga at 4:45 is for celebrities right?  I have this fantasy, regularly, and always after dinner, that I am Oprah or Angelina and I simply walk away from my kitchen not worring about the aftermath of dinner dishes.  This annoys husband.  A blogger I read regularly recently posted on a similar fantasy here.  In her fantasy she is laid up in the hospital (with a sprained ankle) and she finally gets to rest.  She has learned to listen to what her hospital fantasy is trying to teach her ---- slow down.  O.K.  sure.  I guess I could slow down but from what?  The laundry?  The dinner dishes?  I guess so....I guess I need to slow down from regular old life.  My superhero is a little bit futher along on finding balance in her life.    However, slowing down, in my world, means walking away from this table.

And this table just drives me NUTS.  This is what my dinning room table looks like when things start to get away from me and like I said it drinves me CRAZY.  Really, I need to go now and sort through some of that stuff as notes to teachers need to be written, gluten free snacks need to be packed and bookbags need to be ready for school.  At least I'm not cold today.
